She was a ladies maid so must have needed somewhere to stay before the wedding. They were married at a Register Office in Woolwich, but later on, in 1926,they were married at St Peter's Catholic Church in Woolwich with John Jarvis and Patrick McCormack (Bridie's father) as witnesses.
