Nearby was a house called "Campobello", owned by Patrick Hayes and rented out to Signor Del Vecchio who was the Patron of Italians resident in Ireland. Through this connection Charles Bianconi would have met the Hayes family and in particular, his future wife Eliza when she was just five years old (circa 1811).

By 1850 - Campobello was owned by Del Vecchio and rented out to Hugh Duffy.
